High Cholesterol Often Missed in Younger Heart Surgery Patients, Tasmanian Study Finds
A new Tasmanian study has found that familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) — a genetic condition that causes dangerously high cholesterol — is common but largely unrecognised in younger patients undergoing coronary bypass surgery.This leaves many at ongoing risk of heart attacks and early death.
