Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS)
The Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) is a self-administered questionnaire used by physicians to assess daytime sleepiness.
- Each activity on the list is assigned a score ranging from 0 to 3, indicating the likelihood of a person falling asleep while performing the activity.
- 0 = would never doze
- 1 = slight chance of dozing
- 2 = moderate chance of dozing
- 3 = high chance of dozing

- 0 to 10 = normal range of sleepiness in healthy adults
