Medicare Mental Health Check In is a free and confidential online service for people aged 16 and over living in Australia. It provides support for everyday mental health concerns such as stress, anxiety, low mood and sleep problems.
No referral or diagnosis is needed to use the service. People can access online tools independently or speak with a qualified mental health practitioner through telehealth.
The service provides practical tools and skills to help people manage worries, improve sleep and support their mood. Resources are also available for families, carers and people supporting someone experiencing mental health challenges.
Medicare Mental Health Check In is available to people living in Australia, including those who are not Australian citizens. It can also complement other support services, including Employee Assistance Programs.

Medicare Mental Health Check In is part of the wider Medicare Mental Health service, which also includes the national website, phone service, Medicare Mental Health Centres and Medicare Mental Health Kids Hubs.
