Practice Nurses Build Skills at Wound Care Training Event in South Western Sydney
14 Apr 2026
The CPD workshop focused on wound management and best practice care, helping nurses better understand how to support patient healing.
The session covered key topics such as the stages of wound healing, updated approaches to wound hygiene, and how to prepare wounds for effective treatment.
Nurses also joined an interactive activity using cucumbers to practise debridement techniques. This practical exercise helped build confidence and gave participants a chance to apply what they learned in a safe setting.
Practice nurses in the region are encouraged to check their weekly CPD emails for more training opportunities to continue developing their skills.
Primary care providers in South Western Sydney can also access more CPD events through SWSPHN.
