ANSC Registration Renewal Opens in August for South Western Sydney GPs

24 Jul 2026

The annual renewal process helps ensure registered ANSC providers remain active in the program and continue meeting professional education requirements. Around 230 GPs are currently registered to provide antenatal shared care across the region.

To remain registered, GPs must complete three hours of eligible pregnancy-focused educational activities between 1 November and 31 October and submit a short online renewal form confirming they wish to continue as an ANSC provider.

Each August, eligible GPs receive a personalised email containing a link to the online renewal form, which takes only a few minutes to complete. The process also includes confirmation that the required education has been completed and that providers agree to the program's registration requirements.

Educational activities may include antenatal CPD events, approved external learning, online education or participation in pregnancy-related committees. GPs who complete eligible education outside SWSPHN are encouraged to submit evidence so their training records remain up to date.

The registration program is jointly supported by South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN) and South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) to help maintain high-quality antenatal care and ongoing professional development for participating GPs.
