SWSPHN Invites Community Feedback on Health and Aged Care Services for Older People

SWSPHN Invites Community Feedback on Health and Aged Care Services for Older People

30 Jun 2026

The forums will explore the experiences of older people when accessing healthcare, aged care, specialist services, allied health, community support and the transition between hospital and home. Participants are encouraged to share what is working well, the challenges they have faced and ideas for improving local services.

SWSPHN is welcoming people who live, work or provide services in South Western Sydney, including older people, carers, family members, health professionals, aged care workers, allied health professionals, community organisations and service providers.

Discussion topics will include finding aged care information, organising home support, accessing GPs and specialists, coordinating care across services, and overcoming barriers such as language, transport, digital access and costs.

The free forums will be held at Campbelltown on 12 August 2026, Bass Hill on 8 September 2026, and Bowral on 23 September 2026. Each event includes a two-course dinner.

SWSPHN says community feedback will help identify local healthcare needs and support future planning to improve health and aged care services across South Western Sydney.
