The Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits has been revised, with details of new, changed and removed medicines available on the Summary of Changes page.

Several key updates have been made as part of the 1 June 2026 release, including changes to drug price disclosure rules, ex-manufacturer pricing, formulary allocations, and first brand price reductions.

Updates also include changes to the Medicines Status website and PBS-listed medicines subsidised under Section 19A arrangements.

Other recent updates include changes to PBS wholesale mark-up fees starting 1 July 2026, as well as updates on active ingredient prescribing and historical price disclosure cycles.

Further administrative and policy updates have also been published, including PBS calendars, PBAC meeting updates, consultation on national pharmacy workforce analysis, and cost recovery fees and charges.

The update also includes future changes such as the planned delisting of goserelin 3.6 mg implant (Zoladex Implant™) from 1 November 2026.

Ongoing updates to PBS processes and pricing continue to support access to medicines and improve transparency in the Australian pharmaceutical system.
