Arrest warrant issued for unregistered occupational therapist in NSW
24 Apr 2026
Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) confirmed that Misheck Mukonoweshuro was found guilty of unlawfully practising after his registration had been suspended.
He did not appear before court on multiple occasions in 2026, leading to a warrant being issued for his arrest ahead of sentencing.
Mr Mukonoweshuro was originally suspended in 2021 following criminal charges and was later prohibited from providing health services for five years after his registration was cancelled in 2025.
Despite this, investigations found he continued to present himself as a qualified occupational therapist between 2023 and 2024.
Authorities are now seeking information about his whereabouts and have urged anyone with details to contact Ahpra.
