Pharmacy Guild executive director resigns

18 Aug 2023

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s executive director Suzanne Greenwood has handed in her resignation.

National President Professor Trent Twomey announced Ms Greenwood’s departure on Thursday, four years after she took on the role.

Ms Greenwood was appointed executive director in 2019 and has guided the Guild through a ‘significant period of reform’.

Since stepping into the top job, she oversaw negotiations for a seventh Community Pharmacy Agreement, and helped navigate the Guild through the uncertainty of COVID-19.

‘It has been an honour and a privilege to have held the trust of Australia’s community pharmacists over my years at the Guild,’ Ms Greenwood said.

‘I’m extremely proud of everything we’ve achieved, especially our response to the COVID-19 pandemic.’

Ms Greenwood will leave the Pharmacy Guild on 24 November, with work starting in the coming weeks to find her replacement.
