New Mental Health Centre Planned for Green Valley

New Mental Health Centre Planned for Green Valley

31 Jul 2026

The future centre will expand Medicare Mental Health services across the region, becoming the third facility of its kind in South Western Sydney.

Once operational, the service will provide support for adults experiencing moderate to high levels of psychological distress or a mental health crisis. Care will be delivered using an evidence-based, recovery-focused approach that matches support to each person's level of need.

The centre is intended to improve access to care for people whose needs cannot be fully managed through many primary care services or who are unable to access public mental health services when they need them.

Applications opened on 31 July 2026 and will remain open until 5:00 pm on 18 September 2026. All proposals must be submitted through the SWSPHN Tender Portal.

An online briefing for potential applicants is scheduled for 10 August 2026 at 1:30 pm. The session will outline the procurement process, explain the service requirements and provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions.

Following the close of applications, submissions will be assessed before a preferred provider is selected. Contract negotiations are expected to begin in November 2026, with agreements to be finalised in December 2026.

Service establishment is planned from December 2026 to June 2027, before the Green Valley Medicare Mental Health Centre begins operating in July 2027.

Organisations interested in applying can register through the SWSPHN Tender Portal to access tender documents, receive procurement updates and lodge their submissions electronically.
