New campaign promotes free Medicare mental health support

The service provides confidential support using evidence-based strategies to help people develop practical ways to manage their mental health and feel more in control.
The national campaign aims to encourage more Australians to find out whether Medicare Mental Health Check In could support their needs.
Community organisations, health services and local groups can also access a free Community Information Kit to help promote the service.
The kit includes posters, fact sheets, videos and social media materials. Consumer resources are available in 10 languages, including Mandarin, Arabic, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Italian, Tagalog/Filipino, Greek, Hindi, Punjabi and Spanish.
Additional materials have been developed to help organisations engage with multicultural and First Nations communities.
The national campaign will run until June 2027 through digital advertising, including social media, online video, audio and search, as well as print advertising in regional and remote areas.
Health professionals, community organisations and local networks are encouraged to use and share the free resources to help more people access mental health support.
