Webinar to Showcase Australia’s New 10-Year Health and Medical Research Strategy

17 Jun 2026

The strategy outlines a 10-year vision to strengthen Australia’s health and medical research system while improving health outcomes for communities across the country.

Developed under the leadership of Rosemary Huxtable, the strategy was shaped through extensive consultation with the health and medical research sector and aims to provide a coordinated national framework for future research efforts.

Key goals of the strategy include building on Australia’s world-leading research capabilities, improving collaboration across the sector, and supporting the translation of research into practical benefits for patients and communities.

The upcoming webinar will provide an overview of the strategy’s main priorities, themes and opportunities, as well as what they may mean for researchers, healthcare professionals and organisations.

The online session will be held on 26 June 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm AEST and is open to anyone interested in the future of health and medical research in Australia.
