Updated Aged Care Act Training Released to Support Rights-Based Care

23 Jul 2026

The latest release introduces stronger learning materials on supported decision-making, expanded guidance on cultural safety, and practical resources to help services build person-centred care into everyday policies, procedures and daily practice.

Providers and staff are also encouraged to complete the remaining eLearning modules to better understand the requirements of the new Act. The training is available through the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing's eLearning platform and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission's Alis platform.

Additional learning resources include Support at Home training packages, provider and worker training checklists, and an updated training and education catalogue to help organisations monitor staff learning and stay informed about the reforms.
