07 May 2026

Hosted by RACGP NSW&ACT, the event recognised the doctors’ transition into specialist general practice after years of training and clinical experience.

RACGP President Dr Michael Wright congratulated the new Fellows and highlighted the growing need for GPs across Australia.

He described general practice as one of the most rewarding careers in medicine, noting the important role GPs play in building long-term relationships with patients and supporting community health.

Dr Rebekah Hoffman also praised the new Fellows, saying their achievement strengthens the ACT’s healthcare workforce at a time of increasing demand for medical care.

The ceremony marked an important milestone for the doctors as they begin the next stage of their careers in general practice.
