New three-year alliance aims to advance respiratory research
22 Oct 2026
Lung Foundation Australia and Cure4CF have entered a three-year partnership to bring their research expertise, networks and resources together. Their shared goal is to support studies that address unmet health needs and help turn research findings into practical benefits.
Cure4CF is an Australian not-for-profit organisation focused on speeding up research towards a cure for cystic fibrosis. It backs research designed to improve treatment, extend lives and move closer to finding a cure.
Lung Foundation Australia Chief Executive Officer Mark Brooke said the partnership would help the organisations identify research projects with the potential to make a difference in everyday healthcare.
He said the organisations would look for ways to help researchers while making sure the needs and experiences of people with respiratory conditions guide their work.
Cure4CF Chief Executive Officer Suzy Dimaline said the agreement would help strengthen links between researchers and the communities they aim to support.
She said the organisations would share knowledge and look at how their combined commitment to research could benefit people affected by cystic fibrosis and other respiratory illnesses.
Over the next three years, both organisations will continue developing the partnership and identifying areas where they can work together to advance their common research goals.
