30 Mar 2026

The report highlights how disability data is being improved to better support people across Australia.

The National Disability Data Asset is an important part of Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021–2031. It focuses on improving how data is collected and used, helping governments understand how services, payments and programs are working for people with disability.

Key progress shared in the 2024–25 report includes:

  • A new research guide to help use government service data safely and fairly
  • Launch of a new website and logo
  • Introduction of the first disability flags to better identify disability in data
  • Better tracking of outcomes under the Disability Strategy framework
