New paramedics join Ambulance Tasmania to strengthen statewide ambulance services
10 Dec 2024
These experienced first responders began their four-week orientation program, at Ambulance Tasmania’s headquarters in Cambridge on 18 November.
Delivered by our expert paramedic educators, the orientation program, or TASO (Transferring from Another Service Orientation) provides an intensive introduction to Ambulance Tasmania’s operations, systems, and community-focused approach.
Once complete, 12 paramedics will begin work in the South, one in the North, and three in the North West.
This intake follows earlier recruitment drives, with 19 paramedics joining in July, five in October, and 16 graduate paramedics starting in May.
Ambulance Tasmania’s Graduate Paramedic Program will also begin in January 2025, with the selection process nearing completion.
For those inspired to join the team, applications are open for paramedic positions.
