NDIS sets new support price limits for 2026–27

The decision was made by Minister for Disability and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Mark Butler MP, who is now the statutory decision maker for NDIS price limits. The determination followed advice from the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
The new pricing arrangements aim to support value for money and help NDIS participants manage their plan budgets. They also include controls designed to reduce the risk of financial exploitation.
The price limits are in line with previous NDIA pricing guidance and apply immediately.
The Australian Government is also consulting disability stakeholders about differentiated pricing. This would set different prices depending on whether an NDIS support is delivered by a registered or unregistered provider.
The NDIA’s 2026–27 Annual Pricing Review recommended introducing differentiated pricing from 1 January 2027.
The Fair Work Commission also made a decision on 11 September 2026 regarding Schedule E of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. Changes to the award will begin on 1 December 2026.
The 2026–27 NDIS Pricing Schedule will be updated later this year to include any required changes.
