National Asthma Council appoints two new Board directors
08 Sep 2026
Tarek Dale has joined the Board as a nominee director for the Australian Primary Care Nurses Association (APNA), which is a member organisation of the National Asthma Council.
Dale has experience in policy and public affairs, including strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and work contributing to legislative change.
Clinical A/Prof Gregory Katsoulotos has been appointed as an independent director.
Katsoulotos is a respiratory and sleep physician with a particular interest in asthma across different levels of severity. His work includes severe asthma and the use of biological treatments. He also leads a multidisciplinary airways clinic where medical and allied health professionals work together to manage difficult-to-treat asthma.
Recognition for long-serving Board member
The National Asthma Council has also acknowledged Prof Peter Wark, who recently finished his time on the Board after 18 years of service.
Wark held a range of Board and committee positions between 2008 and 2026.
The organisation said the work of its Board, committees, advisory groups, member organisations and other supporters continues to contribute to efforts to improve asthma care across Australia.
