Free RACGP Webinar to Explain Medicare Rules for New GPs

The online session is aimed at GPs in training and healthcare providers who are new to Medicare, although experienced GPs and practice managers are also welcome to attend.
The webinar will be led by Dr Tony Bayliss, with presentations from Dr Kris Kandasamy.
Participants will learn about the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), bulk billing requirements, record keeping, practice incentive programs, compliance obligations and the support available to healthcare providers.
The session also comes after the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing identified several Medicare compliance priorities for 2026, including telehealth services, care and management plans, overseas MBS claims and inappropriate PBS claiming.
With many GPs still unsure about Medicare billing requirements, the webinar aims to provide practical guidance to help providers better understand the system and meet their obligations.
The webinar will be held on Wednesday, 15 July, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm (AEST) and is free for both RACGP members and non-members.
