Free community support available throughout October

The Mental Health Integration Hub supports people aged 15 and above, as well as their families and support networks. Its team can provide practical assistance, explain available options and help people find appropriate mental health services.
People do not need to be receiving mental health care already to use the Hub.
Services available in October
The October program includes support from organisations covering mental health, employment, family support, recovery and other community needs.
Recovery College Tasmania (RCT)
Provides free mental health education through sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Peacock Centre. The sessions are open to all communities.
Centrelink
An outreach worker will be available for Centrelink-related support.
Mission NDIS
Provides information about current NDIS processes and assistance with navigating the system.
SMART Recovery
Runs an open support group for people experiencing challenges related to alcohol or other drug use, at any stage of their recovery journey.
Anglicare Mental Health Recovery
Provides information and intake for its Recovery program.
Relationships Australia
Provides information and intake for its available programs.
Wellways
Provides information and intake for its Mental Health Recovery program.
CVGT
Offers support before and after job placement through its job network service.
Matchworks Job Network
Helps people with different abilities work towards meaningful employment.
Baby Village
A group for parents, babies and toddlers facilitated by Playgroup Tasmania.
Community Meditation Group
Provides a guided meditation session that is open to community members as a drop-in service.
CatholicCare Safe Choices
Provides access to domestic violence support.
Open Arms
Offers counselling and information for veterans and their immediate families.
The Hub advises people to use the October calendar to check when each service is available. Those planning to attend should contact the Hub the day before to confirm the service date and time.
