DVA Introduces New Application Process for Hearing Services PAMT Vouchers

DVA Introduces New Application Process for Hearing Services PAMT Vouchers

31 Jul 2026

Under the new arrangements, all applications for PAMT hearing service vouchers must be emailed directly to the DVA for assessment and approval. The change is intended to improve processing times for eligible veterans awaiting the outcome of their DVA claims.

The PAMT program allows some veterans who have applied for a DVA White Card with hearing listed as an accepted condition to access hearing services before their application is finalised.

From now on, providers must submit PAMT applications directly to the DVA rather than through the Hearing Services Program. The Department has advised that applications sent to the program will be returned without processing.

Any questions about delayed, pending or declined PAMT applications should also be directed to the DVA.

The updated process applies to all eligible PAMT hearing service applications submitted from 3 August 2026.
