Applications Open for Aged Care Quality and Safety Advisory Council

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Advisory Council provides independent advice on the performance of functions carried out by the aged care regulator and supports ongoing improvements in the quality and safety of aged care services.
The Advisory Council provides advice to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, including the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner, the Complaints Commissioner, and the Minister for Aged Care and Seniors.
Members are appointed by the Minister for Aged Care and Seniors on a part-time basis for terms of up to four years. The Council brings together individuals with a broad range of professional skills, lived experience, and sector expertise to help strengthen aged care outcomes across Australia.
Expressions of Interest are now open, with applications closing at 11:30pm AEST on 14 July 2026.
The opportunity offers experienced professionals and community representatives a chance to contribute to the future direction, quality, and safety of aged care services nationwide.
