The Committee carries out accreditation responsibilities under the National Law as assigned by the relevant Board. Its work includes:
- developing accreditation standards
- assessing health practice education programs
- monitoring approved programs and education providers to ensure they continue to meet required standards
- advising the Board on education and practice issues that may affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practice and education programs.
Applicants should have current or recent experience in education, preferably in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and in delivering training in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice).
Experience in health sector accreditation is also preferred.
