AHPRA Launches Webinars to Support GPs

These sessions will cover topics such as supervising students, understanding performance notifications, and how supervision works in everyday practice.
GPs can submit questions when registering or during the live Q&A. Upcoming webinars include:

Navigating a performance notification: Thursday 26 March, 4:00–5:00 pm (AEDT)

Regulation of students in health professions: Wednesday 15 April, 2:00–3:00 pm (AEST)

How supervision works in practice: Tuesday 21 April, 2:15–3:15 pm (AEST)
Other initiatives highlighted this week include Juvenile Arthritis Week (16–22 March), raising awareness about early diagnosis and care for children and young people with arthritis, and the Annual Dementia Research Forum in Sydney (1–3 June) offering CPD sessions for healthcare practitioners.
AHPRA is also hosting a webinar on antidepressant use in young people on Thursday 18 March, 7:30–8:30 pm (AEDT), covering evidence-based prescribing, counselling, and review processes.
For RACGP Tasmania members, there will be a Board meet and greet on Wednesday 25 March, 6:30–8:30 pm at 62 Patrick Street, Hobart. Dr Toby Gardner and RACGP Board members will provide updates on national initiatives and local advocacy, and members can network and share experiences.
