Aged Care Providers to Submit First Audited Care Minutes Report
04 Aug 2026
The first audited statement will cover Quarter 3 and Quarter 4 of the 2025–26 financial year and is designed to improve transparency and accountability across the aged care sector.
The CMPS requires providers to report key workforce and care delivery information, including direct care worked hours, direct care labour costs, Registered Nurse (RN) coverage, and quarterly occupied bed numbers.
The Department has confirmed there are no changes to the existing Quarterly Financial Reports (QFRs), which will continue under the current reporting process.
Providers are encouraged to appoint an external auditor as early as possible and ensure supporting records are accurate and up to date before submitting their CMPS.
The Department also advised that if information provided in the audited CMPS differs from previously submitted Quarterly Financial Reports, care minutes supplement payments may be reviewed and adjusted where required.
