Aged Care Providers Invited to Support National Capacity Review
27 Jul 2026
The survey, open from 27 July to 6 September, will collect information about the number of available beds, where residential care homes are located, and the condition of their accommodation. The findings will be used to support government planning, improve funding decisions, identify areas where aged care services are under pressure, and strengthen future care planning for older Australians.
Residential aged care providers will receive a personalised survey link by email and will need to complete a separate questionnaire for each care home. Most surveys are expected to take around 30 minutes. Providers who have not received an invitation by 2 August are encouraged to contact the Department of Health.
The government will publish a summary of the combined national results later this year. Individual provider information will not be released.
