$20 Million MRFF Grant to Support More Equitable Primary Health Care Research

Funded through the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), the grant program will support medical research and innovation projects that explore practical ways to improve equity in primary health care services.
Researchers are encouraged to build on successful past trials and test new approaches that help reduce barriers to healthcare access for different communities.
A key requirement is that projects must be co-designed with primary health care services and healthcare consumers, ensuring research reflects the needs and experiences of patients and providers.
The funding forms part of the MRFF’s Primary Health Care Research Initiative, which aims to strengthen evidence-based solutions and improve health outcomes for Australians.
