Victoria’s Local Health Service Networks Celebrate First Year of Connected Care
01 Jul 2026
Launched on 1 July 2025, the Networks bring health services across 12 geographic regions together to better plan care based on the needs of local communities.
The initiative is part of Victoria’s Health Services Plan, which aims to help people receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
During their first year, health services focused on building strong partnerships, improving collaboration and developing plans to better coordinate healthcare across each region. Early work has also identified opportunities to strengthen services and improve access for local communities.
The next stage of the program will focus on expanding collaboration between health providers and delivering more connected, patient-centred care across Victoria.
The Victorian Department of Health has thanked health services, leaders and staff for their commitment to establishing the Networks and supporting a more coordinated healthcare system during the first year.
