Scope of Practice review: Is this the end for general practice or an opportunity for change?

The Federal Government’s Scope of Practice review is in the third phase of consultation and members can still share their views.
This webinar is an opportunity for members to share thoughts on the proposed eight policy reform options across three key theme areas (workforce, legislation and regulation, and funding and payment policy), with:

Digital health Q&A
Webinar: Wednesday 22 May, 6.30 pm (AEST)
CPD: 1 EA hour
RACGP Expert Committee – Practice Technology and Management member, Dr David Adam, will host this Q&A discussion on digital health tools in general practice. Topics discussed will include:
- Provider Connect Australia
- electronic prescribing
- My Health Record
- sharing patient data.
After providing brief introductory information on each of the listed topics, Dr Adam will address any questions from participants. Questions can be submitted in advance during the registration process or asked live during the webinar.

Optimising cervical screening for people with disability: Supporting equity in your practice

Presented in partnership with the Daffodil Centre and Centre for Disability Studies, this webinar is designed to extend knowledge and skills in facilitating cervical screening for patients with disability.
With insights from cervical cancer screening experts Professor Deborah Bateson and RACGP Board Chair Dr Lara Roeske, as well as disability advocate Tricia Malowney, this webinar will explore the barriers and facilitators to cervical screening in people with disability, along with the strategies and techniques GPs can employ to confidently support these patients.

Medical Costs Finder: Digital information session for GPs and practice staff

The Medical Costs Finder website helps patients find and understand the typical costs of GP and specialist medical services. It supports them to prepare for an informed discussion with their GP, specialist, or private health insurer about fees, and feel more confident in shared decision-making about treatment.
The session provides an overview of the Medical Costs Finder website and how patients can use it to find typical fees and potential out-of-pocket costs on selected GP and specialist services.
