An annual campaign led in Australia by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), Privacy Awareness Week highlights the importance of protecting personal information.

For the campaign this year, the OAIC is asking people, organisations and government agencies to ‘power up your privacy’.

This sits under the overarching theme of Privacy and technology: Improving transparency, accountability and security.

Privacy Awareness Week is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of protecting personal information, both within our organisations and sectors, and in the broader community ― particularly in the context of upcoming privacy reform.
