Report on the Australian Brain Cancer Mission
04 Jan 2024
The Australian Brain Cancer Mission supports research into brain cancer. It aims to double the survival rates and improve the quality of life of patients with brain cancer.
In 2022–23, we engaged the Centre for International Economics (CIE) to review this Mission. The review assessed the Mission’s progress in:
- supporting brain cancer research in Australia
- meeting the long-term objectives set out in the Australian Brain Cancer Research Roadmap, MRFF 10-year Investment Plan and the MRFF Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Strategy.
An Evaluation Advisory Panel guided the review, chaired by Dr Raelene Endersby.
Read the Review of the Australian Brain Cancer Mission (August 2023) report.
The Australian Brain Cancer Mission is co-funded through the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) and 12 Funding Partners, including some state governments and philanthropic organisations.
