Reminder: ANSC provider renewal due 31 October
10 Oct 2025
The ANSC program allows women with low-risk pregnancies to receive most of their care from their GP. There are currently around 250 GPs registered as ANSC providers in the region.
To maintain registration, GPs must:
-
Complete three hours of eligible ANSC CPD between 1 November 2024 and 31 October 2025.
-
Submit a short online renewal form confirming their CPD completion and agreeing to ANSC provider terms. The form takes about 5–10 minutes to complete.
GPs will receive a unique link to the online renewal form in August and must confirm by 31 October if they wish to remain an ANSC provider for the following year.
Eligible CPD
The three hours of CPD can be completed through a mix of educational activities or participation in ANSC-relevant committees. SWSPHN hosts pregnancy-specific CPD activities both online and face-to-face each month. External CPD can also be counted if it aligns with approved ANSC topics.
GPs should keep records of any CPD completed externally, including attendee name, hours, and supporting evidence such as certificates, RACGP transcripts, or personal reflections. Evidence can be emailed to ansc@swsphn.com.au. SWSPHN keeps records of CPD completed through its events.
Any CPD hours from the Women’s Health Matters conference on 3 November 2024 that were not used for 2025 registration can be applied to 2026 registration.
