National registration scheme for aged care personal care workers: summary report released
01 Oct 2025
The scheme aims to support workers, improve professional standards, and enhance protections for older Australians receiving care.
From February to April 2025, older people, carers, aged care providers, workers, and organisations were invited to provide feedback on the scheme’s design, training, and skills requirements.
The input received will help guide future policies to professionalise the personal care workforce and ensure high-quality care for older Australians.
