myGovID is now myID
22 Nov 2024
The government’s Digital ID app, myGovID has changed its name to myID. There’s a new name and look, but you’ll continue to use it in the same way.
The name change will appear progressively for different onlines services.
What you need to know
- The change to myID, better reflects future enhancements – allowing to use your digital ID for more government and private sector services in the future.
 - All of your details will remain the same, including your email address and password.
 - You can keep accessing government online services using myID, including Department of Health and Aged Care platforms such as the Medical Costs Finder and the Aged Care Gateway.
 - Remember, your digital ID is unique to you and should not be shared. If you think your digital ID has been compromised, call the support line immediately to report it.
