myGovID is now myID

The government’s Digital ID app, myGovID has changed its name to myID. There’s a new name and look, but you’ll continue to use it in the same way.

The name change will appear progressively for different onlines services.

The change to myID, better reflects future enhancements – allowing to use your digital ID for more government and private sector services in the future.
All of your details will remain the same, including your email address and password.
You can keep accessing government online services using myID, including Department of Health and Aged Care platforms such as the Medical Costs Finder and the Aged Care Gateway.
Remember, your digital ID is unique to you and should not be shared. If you think your digital ID has been compromised, call the support line immediately to report it.
