MRAC review of Telehealth closing next week

The MBS Review Advisory Committee (MRAC) review of Telehealth items closes next week.

The AMA will make a public submission to the consultation, which closes on November 6.

The submission will respond to all 10 recommendations of the MRAC and will strongly oppose the recommendation to remove the initial consult telehealth item for non-GP specialists.

We have been in touch with Minister for Health Mark Butler’s office to discuss the review, and some of the AMA’s initial concerns. The AMA engages with all MRAC reviews and welcomes member feedback and engagement.
