Man Charged After String of Thefts From Melbourne Medical Centres
25 Nov 2025
Police allege the man was involved in a series of break-ins at general practices and other health facilities between 30 August and 14 September, targeting sites in suburbs including Brunswick, Camberwell, Mordialloc, Seabrook and St Kilda.
According to investigators, 13 payment terminals were taken, along with cash and various electronics. Police also claim the man was using two stolen vehicles — a 2017 Subaru wagon and a Toyota Fortuna — both of which have since been recovered.
The man faces numerous charges, including several counts of burglary and motor vehicle theft. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 2 December.
A second man, aged 37, was arrested earlier this month and has also been charged in connection with the alleged offences.
Detective Senior Sergeant Haydn Beale said the arrests demonstrate Victoria Police’s ongoing work to disrupt organised groups targeting local businesses. He urged anyone who experiences a break-in to avoid disturbing the scene and contact police immediately.
Police are also reminding businesses to strengthen their security by upgrading locks, reinforcing entry points, installing monitored alarms and CCTV, and ensuring payment terminals are secured when not in use.
