Inaugural Thriving Kids Advisory Group meeting held in Melbourne

The Advisory Group brings together experts from paediatrics, child development, disability services, research, health care, early education, schools, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, as well as people with lived experience.

The meeting focused on the design principles for the Thriving Kids program, reviewing existing frameworks, and exploring opportunities to strengthen current programs. The Advisory Group is expected to provide its advice by the end of 2025. Further details are available in the Thriving Kids Advisory Communique.

Thriving Kids is a national initiative launching in July 2026. The program aims to provide improved support for children aged eight and under with developmental delays, disabilities, or low to moderate support needs.
