In Practice: Bulk-billing signage, chronic condition management, eNRMC update and occupational medicine conference

Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program (BBPIP) must:

Register as a fully bulk-billing practice in Healthdirect.
-
Display Medicare-approved bulk-billing signage onsite to be eligible for incentive payments.
Signage options include:
-
Large and small “Medicare Bulk Billing Practice” decals.
-
“We Bulk Bill Every Eligible Patient” A3 poster.
-
“We are a Medicare Bulk Billing Practice” A3 poster.
Practices can request signage from 1 November via the DoHDA website or through the BBPIP Expression of Interest form before this date.
Chronic Condition Management Webinar
The RACGP is hosting a webinar on Thursday 16 October, 7.30–8.30 pm AEDT, on the new GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP). The session will cover:

Setting up MyMedicare for GPCCMP items.

Avoiding claim rejections and managing exceptions.

Transition and exception arrangements for practices.

Where to access guidance and support.

Electronic National Residential Medication Charts (eNRMC) update
The DoHDA has extended the transitional arrangement for eNRMC until 21 October 2025. This ensures patients in aged care continue to have safe, timely access to medications while vendors complete electronic prescribing compliance.

After 21 October, any new chart orders must be supported by a separate PBS prescription or paper NRMC.

This extension is the final one before the transitional arrangement ends.
