This week’s update also serves as a reminder that early bird registration for GP25 is closing soon, expressions of interest (EOIs) are now open for Health Technology Advisory Committee vacancies, and members are able to cast their votes in RACGP Convocation.

Notice of the 68th RACGP Annual General Meeting

Members who are eligible are invited to vote and participate in the 2025 RACGP Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held on Thursday, 13 November 2025, starting at 5.00 pm (AEST).


The meeting will take place in person at the GP25 conference, which is being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, and will also be available online via Zoom webinar.


Voting for the AGM will open on Monday, 3 November.

GP25: Early Bird Registrations Closing Soon

There is still time to take advantage of the early bird registration for GP25, but it will soon be unavailable.
Registrations close on Monday, 27 October.

This year’s program includes inspiring keynote presentations, hands-on pre-conference workshops, and sessions covering a variety of topics such as:

- ADHD
- Environment and sustainability
- The Red Book
- GP wellbeing
- Health equity and health literacy
- Workforce and women’s health
- Generational care

Attendees can also register for the conference dinner and awards ceremony, which will feature a three-course dinner and the presentation of the RACGP Awards.

Expressions of Interest: Health Technology Advisory Committee Vacancies

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now open for membership on the Health Technology Advisory (HTA) Committee.


The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (DoHDA) is seeking to build a merit pool of qualified candidates for potential future vacancies on the following committees and sub-committees:

- Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee and sub-committees
- Medical Services Advisory Committee and sub-committees
- Medical Devices and Human Tissue Advisory Committee (specific roles)
- Expert clinical advisory groups
- Consumer and industry positions

Applicants are required to submit a 700-word EOI along with an online application for consideration.


EOIs close on Monday, 15 December 2025, at 11.30 pm (AEST).

RACGP Convocation: Cast Your Vote

Voting for RACGP Convocation is now open and will remain available until Monday, 10 November.


Members are encouraged to vote for the proposal they believe should be implemented by the RACGP from the shortlisted options:

- Mental health crisis summit
- Using AI to improve and simplify trainee and member experiences
- College-led public campaign to highlight the value of seeing a GP

The three shortlisted proposals will be presented in person, and the winning proposal will be announced at Convocation on Thursday, 13 November, ahead of GP25.
