Helping GPs Support Practitioners with Registration Restrictions

Helping GPs Support Practitioners with Registration Restrictions

16 Oct 2025

The webinar will be held on Monday, 27 October, from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm (AEDT), and participants are asked to register by Friday, 24 October.

This session is designed for supervisors, mentors, educators, treating practitioners and senior staff who have been nominated to take on roles required by AHPRA as part of a practitioner’s registration restrictions. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the responsibilities, processes, protections and obligations involved in these roles, helping ensure safe and professional practice.

In addition, GPs are invited to contribute to a University of Wollongong study examining perspectives on sharing general practice data for research. The study aims to explore the ethical, social, legal and practical issues around using general practice data to support research that benefits the community.

Practice managers and owners can take part in a one-hour Zoom interview to share their views and experiences. All information will be kept confidential and used to guide future approaches to the ethical use of practice data.
