Have your say on the AMA’s revised Code of Ethics
04 Jul 2024
The AMA is seeking your views as we update our Code of Ethics for the medical profession.
This is your chance to have a say on this key publication, which is a guiding document for ethical practice in Australia.
The consultation Draft AMA Code of Ethics July 2024 can be found here.
You can also read the existing AMA Code of Ethics on our website.
The Consultation Draft proposes key changes that enhance guidance on consent and refer to issues not previously addressed in the code including sustainability, innovation, cultural safety, power imbalance, dual loyalties, telehealth and culturally, linguistically and religiously diverse populations.
We have a prepared a short five-minute survey that you can complete as part of this consultation.
The survey is anonymous and will close at 11:59pm on 26 July.
