Error in the PBS listings for methylphenidate hydrochloride modified release tablet (Concerta, Methylphenidate-TEVA XR, Methylphenidate XR ARX)

The population criteria for methylphenidate hydrochloride modified release tablet for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (PBS Item codes 2172H, 2387P, 2388Q, 2432B) has been incorrectly changed to:
“Patient must be or have been diagnosed between the ages of 6 and 17 years inclusive.”
The population criteria for these item codes should be “Patient must be or have been diagnosed between the ages of 6 and 18 years inclusive.”
The population criteria for item codes 2172H, 2387P, 2388Q, 2432B will be corrected in the PBS schedule from 1 January 2025.
