Award wage increase for aged care workers and nurses
02 Oct 2025
From 1 October 2025, direct-care residential aged care workers, some home care workers, and registered and enrolled nurses in aged care will receive higher award wages. This increase comes as part of the Fair Work Commission’s Aged Care Work Value Case decisions.
Aged care providers will receive funding to help cover the higher wages and associated costs through existing funding arrangements and a new grant opportunity.
Details on the updated award rates, including pay guides and a pay and conditions tool, are available on the Fair Work Ombudsman website.
Further information on government funding to support these wage increases can be found at Better and fairer wages for aged care workers.
