$61 million to support clinical trials, focusing on rare cancers, rare diseases, and unmet health needs

Clinical trials are essential for testing new therapies and treatments, and for generating the evidence needed to improve healthcare.

The 2025 Clinical Trials Activity grant offers up to $61 million in funding for:

  • Early-stage, small-scale projects targeting rare cancers, rare diseases, or other areas of unmet medical need

  • Clinical trials that support the delivery of effective and high-value care

  • Prevention-focused clinical trials

This funding comes from the Medical Research Future Fund’s (MRFF) $750 million Clinical Trials Activity initiative.
