$50 million investment in new models of primary care

A new expert advisory panel will develop a MRFF Primary Health Research Plan in 2023. The first research projects will be funded from July 2024. Funding will target 3 areas:

identifying and evaluating models of primary care provided by GPs and other health professionals
applying research findings in primary care settings
better use of data and digital technology to evaluate models of primary care and support health system planning.
