$34 million for research into post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (long COVID) and sleep apnoea

The 2023 Post-Acute Sequalae of COVID-19 (PASC) Streams 1-4 Stage 1 and Stream 4 Stage 2 grant opportunities will provide $22 million for projects that will lead to better:

  • understanding of the impacts of PASC on individuals and the health system
  • care, policy and program responses.

The 2023 Optimising Screening, Diagnosis and Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea grant opportunity will provide $12 million for research into:

  • novel approaches for the screening, diagnosis and monitoring of people with obstructive sleep apnoea
  • the effectiveness of Type 3 and Type 4 sleep studies.
