TGA Takes Action Against Unapproved Therapeutic Goods

Some of the individuals are registered health practitioners, and one Victorian practitioner is accused of importing counterfeit cosmetic injectables, which may be unsafe. A person in NSW allegedly advertised Botox, which is a prescription-only medicine and cannot be marketed to the public.
The TGA warns that using unapproved or counterfeit therapeutic goods can pose serious health risks. Individuals and businesses must follow the law when importing or advertising these products.
For suspected breaches, the TGA encourages the public to report issues.
