SWSPHN Welcomes New GP Registrars at Metro PHN Showcase

Around 150 registrars attended the Metro PHN Showcase, held alongside GPT1/2 Orientation Day at CommBank Stadium, Parramatta.

Attendees heard from WentWest Board member and Riverstone GP, Dr Michelle Crockett, who explained the role of PHNs and HealthPathways in supporting GPs.

SWSPHN’s Hannah Reveley and Karen Fildes hosted a stall, speaking with about 40 registrars and sharing details about SWSPHN’s services, programs, and the new registrar hub.

The event also offered registrars the chance to network with peers from other PHNs and connect with RACGP coordinators, who provide ongoing support throughout their training.

These initiatives aim to ensure new GPs feel informed, welcomed, and supported from their first day in general practice.
