Support at Home Thin Markets Grants – Round 2 Now Open

28 Nov 2025

These grants provide flexible funding to eligible Support at Home providers, enabling them to deliver services in regions or to communities where demand exceeds supply—known as “thin markets.” This includes rural and remote areas, as well as tailored support for older people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, LGBTIQ+ individuals, or those experiencing social or financial disadvantage.

Eligible providers can apply via GrantConnect until 2pm (AEDT) on 14 January 2026.

This initiative forms part of a broader effort to strengthen aged care services in underserved areas. Other complementary programs include the Rural, Remote and First Nations Aged Care Service Development Assistance Panel (SDAP), the Business and Workforce Advisory Service (BWAS), and a pooled funding trial starting in 2026.
